The Leavenworth-Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a series of forums related to the upcoming mid-term elections!
Local, state, and even national lawmakers and candidates have been invited to participate!
This forum, the first of three, include candidates for the 2nd Congressional District (U.S. House of Representatives), the Kansas Gubernatorial race, and the race for the Kansas State Board of Education.
The following candidates have been invited to participate:
Steve Watkins/Paul Davis - 2nd Cong. Dist.
Laura Kelly/Kris Kobach - KS Gov.
Michael Powell/Janet Waugh - KS Board of Ed.
AS OF OCTOBER 9TH AT 11:00 AM, ONLY THE CANDIDATES FOR THE KANSAS BOARD OF EDUCATION HAVE COMMITTED TO THIS EVENING'S FORUM!!!

Join us on Tuesday evening, October 9th, beginning at 6:00 pm so our candidates, both incumbent and aspiring, can lay out their plans and platforms!
If you have any questions you wish to submit, please, by all means, email Brandon Johannes, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, via brandon@llchamber.com. All submitted questions will be considered, and if chosen, will be asked anonymously.
It is crucial to our democratic system of government for citizens to be involved by way of exercising their right and responsibility to vote; it is equally crucial that citizens be INFORMED voters...these forums will offer a great opportunity to make a more informed decision this November!
