Job Description: Gift Shop Clerk/Administrative Assistant
Type: Part-time (30 hours/week, 1-2 special events on Saturdays and evenings per month,
           flexible schedule as needed)
Salary: Hourly wages ($15 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience)
Principle Duties:
The Gift Shop Clerk/Administrative Assistant is responsible to assist the Director of Operations with administrative duties and Gift Shop operations.  Reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for ensuring that operations and personal conduct are conducted at a high professional and customer-friendly standard, within guidelines, and to ethical standards commensurate with Federal guidelines and law.  Under the guidance of the Director of Operations, utilizing our Point of Sales (POS) system, conducts Gift Shop sales, credit card processing and other Gift Shop operations and activities in accordance with directives and SOPs ensuring accurate inventory management, correct sales procedures, accurate sales taxes and accurate financial accounting.  Reconciles and maintains records for sales, donations received, and thank you letters.  Assists with operations of the Foundation to ensure timely and accurate accounting of all funds and Foundation property, key control, IT, office appearance, and other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience with basic office/computer skills required
Ability to problem solve with little or no supervision required
Ability to work on Fort Leavenworth (pass criminal background check) required
Experience with sales/point-of-sale systems preferred
Familiarity with Military customs and courtesies preferred
